Job DetailsJob Location: Jackpot Junction - Morton, MN 56270Position Type: Part-TimeEducation Level: NoneSalary Range: $14.00 - $27.86 HourlyTravel Percentage: NegligibleJob Shift: Varies (+Weekends)Job Category: Food / BeverageESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Recognize and acknowledge guests as soon as possible (within one minute of their arrival, unless waiting on another table or picking up food). Take food and beverage orders from guests. Promptly and accurately relay food and beverage orders to Sports Bar bartenders and kitchen staff as appropriate. Engage in suggestive sales as appropriate. Assume responsibility for assigned section for entirety of shift. Utilize proper tray service (i.e. trays balanced on change hand, carried above shoulder level and used with tray jack). Maintain familiarity with service procedures, menus and seating chart. Accurately and efficiently accept payment and make change during transactions. Utilize proper cash handling and control procedures. Operate POS terminal. Perform housekeeping duties in dining room and service areas, ensuring that all areas are clean and sanitized. Engage in light food preparation as needed. Perform daily side work as needed. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. QualificationsEXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience working with the public required. Previous wait staff experience strongly preferred. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent sales and customer service skills. Knowledge of food and beverage menus. Knowledge of liquor service and applicable laws. Knowledge of products and facility. Knowledge of sanitization practices. Knowledge of suggestive sales techniques. Ability to work efficiently and independently without supervision. Ability to maintain a flexible schedule. Ability to maintain composure under stressful circumstances. Ability to maintain a neat, professional appearance. Highly self-motivated and dependable. Courteous and professional. Team-oriented. Mathematical aptitude. UNIVERSAL REQUIREMENTS Sensitivity to various cultures, including Native American cultures. Regular attendance and punctuality. Able and willing to work any changes in scheduled hours as required.
