Job DetailsJob Location: Jackpot Junction - Morton, MN 56270Position Type: Part-TimeEducation Level: NoneSalary Range: $18.00 - $35.82 HourlyTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: Varies (+Weekends)Job Category: Food / BeverageESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Streamline the flow of restaurant orders, helping ensure that dishes go out to tables on time and at the expected standard. Stand at the pass during service and act as the middle person between service staff and cooks. Relay important information between kitchen staff and waitstaff (e.g. when a customer has a special request). Ensure the efficient flow of orders from waitstaff to the kitchen. Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority. Assist with the final preparation of dishes. Check dishes for accuracy, presentation and temperature prior to delivery. Deliver orders as needed to ensure efficient service. Tactfully and efficiently handle customer complaints. Assist with cleaning to ensure work area meets quality and sanitation standards. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. QualificationsEXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Experience as a food expediter or related position strongly preferred. High school diploma or general education diploma (GED). SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Strong expediting and time management skills. Knowledge of proper sanitation and food safety procedures. Knowledge of inventory management. Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Ability to work under stressful conditions. Organized and efficient. Detail-oriented. UNIVERSAL REQUIREMENTS Sensitivity to various cultures, including Native American cultures. Regular attendance and punctuality. Able and willing to work any changes in scheduled hours as required. Serve as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel and encourage others to do the same. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Mobility throughout the facility. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Ability to twist, bend and squat frequently. Ability to tolerate head and congestion in the kitchen. Ability to stand and walk for entire shift. Strong manual dexterity, coordination and awareness.
