Follow directions from the Sports Bar/ADR Lead Cook Follow standardized recipes for the Sports Bar/ADR. Maintain the flexibility to work any station and shift as required. Ensure the kitchen area is always clean, sanitary and up to health code standards. Adhere to all food safety regulations. Keep all food storage areas clean, organized, labeled and dated. Ensure all equipment, tools, floors, workstations and food prep areas are clean and organized. Work according to Sports Bar/ADR procedures. Communicate clearly and effectively with kitchen staff, chefs and other team members, maintaining a positive and professional work environment. Understand and complete all assigned tasks. Contribute to team efforts. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. QualificationsEXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 1 year of experience in a full-service restaurant kitchen required. Prior experience as a line cook preferred. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES Proficient culinary, knife and cooking station skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Strong organizational skills and sense of timing. Knowledge of various cooking techniques including frying, sauteing, broiling, basting, baking, poaching and roasting. Knowledge of proper sanitization techniques. Ability to consistently produce high-quality food products. Proficiency in cooking steaks to the desired temperature. Proficiency in cooking all proteins to the required safe temperature. Ability to consistently produce high quality food products. Ability to efficiently perform repetitive tasks. Ability to maintain a well-groomed appearance. Ability to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment. Ability to follow directions and work in a team-oriented environment. Self-motivated, dependable and able to work independently. UNIVERSAL REQUIREMENTS Sensitivity to various cultures, including Native American cultures. Regular attendance and punctuality. Able and willing to work any changes in scheduled hours as required. Serve as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel and encourage others to do the same. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Mobility throughout the facility. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
