HVAC Apprentice Installer in a Nutshell - The Installer will install HVAC equipment into residential customer’s homes. This includes equipment such as: furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers and other related components. What You’ll Be Doing Install HVAC equipment into residential customer homes Troubleshoot equipment installation, start-up, operation and other issues Install flex and sheet metal duct systems in residential buildings Ensure functionality of thermostats to control HVAC system is operational Load all necessary materials and equipment required for each job into company vehicle Follow all safety and training per company policy and procedure Ensure that company vehicle is maintained and in operating order Participate and attend all required employee meetings and trainings Other duties as assigned What We’re Looking For Desire to learn the HVAC trade and become a journeyman Ability to measure ductwork and install all equipment and accessories Must be able to lift 100lbs Comfortable working from ladders that are 28’ and possibly higher Excellent customer service skills Comfortable working outdoor in the elements High school diploma or equivalent Must have valid driver license and insurable driving record What We Offer Company uniforms Personal tool purchases can be made using our discount, at your expense 401K with up to a 4% employer match Medical, dental and vision – up to 100% paid for by the employer for some plans Life insurance policy – 100% paid for by the employer Accident, supplemental life insurance, critical illness policies at employee’s expense Paid vacation, holidays and sick leave Work Schedule Full-time Monday through Thursday, 7:30am to 4:00pm Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm Possible weekend overtime, must be flexible to customer needs and length of job Qualifications
