Production Scheduler

Summary: 

Reporting to the Customer Relations Manager, the Production Scheduler I is responsible for maintaining and updating the production schedule based on sales forecasts, plant and employee capacity and new business opportunities to meet customer demands. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. 

  • First of three levels of production scheduling with responsibility for the clerical aspects of scheduling and forecasting materials. 
  • Prepare and distribute the weekly/monthly production schedules and communicate deviations to the appropriate teams. 
  • Create and improve processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency in the schedules released to manufacturing. 
  • Maintain long-term forecasting tools to review capacity versus demand trends.
  • Work closely with Customer Service Representatives to communicate schedule change requests. 
  • Review internal scheduling change requests and evaluate raw material availability to coordinate implementation with the appropriate teams. 
  • Assist in resolving production and raw material supply conflicts. 
  • As part of the AROW Global team you will need to understand the AROW Business System policy and objectives and how you affect conformance to them.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Previous production planning or scheduling experience preferred.
  • Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system; knowledge of IFS is preferred. 
  • Proficient working in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Self-motivated and excels at being a part of a team. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
