Inventory control - material handling

1st Shift 5:00AM-3:00PM, 2nd Shift 3:15PM-1:15AM, Weekend Shift (Fri, Sat, Sun) 6:00AM-6:00PM

(Fridays as needed for overtime, we are currently working 8 hours on Fridays)

Summary

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing the Maintenance Department, including training, scheduling, and mentoring staff; supervising and planning equipment maintenance; and performing various maintenance duties in a safe environment. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. 

  • Staging and stocking needed materials for production
  • Deliver and retrieve materials between departments and buildings
  • Cycle counting
  • Ensure quality on all assembled and pre-assembled materials
  • Work closely with a team
  • Support and cross train in other inventory control areas

Qualifications

  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills as well as the ability to read blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
  • Ability to read/use a tape measure and various hand tools
  • Ability to adapt – must be flexible
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Must be willing to become forklift certified within the first 30 days of employment
  • Prior manufacturing experience is preferred but not required – willing to train the right candidate
  • Reliability and proven attendance at past jobs

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk, or hear.

  • Ability to lift 10lbs on a consistent basis
  • Ability to lift 10-25lbs on a frequent basis
  • Ability to lift 25-50lbs on an occasional basis
  • Ability to stand for 10 hours per day
  • Must be able to work overhead on a frequent basis
  • Must be able to work shoulder level on a seldom to frequent basis
  • Must be able to have a complete range of movement of the arms and wrist
  • Hand dexterity and hand grip
  • Ability to complete repetitive functions on a rotational basis
