Summary of Primary Functions: Manages and directs subcontractors and employees to complete a project in accordance with the plans or blueprints while ensuring that the project is completed safely, defect free, on time, and within the budget.

This is a Traveling Superintendent position supporting the Moss Point Plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.

  • Develops and maintains manufacturing operations business plans to include all program requirements, labor hours, cycle, production costs, and image.

  • Establishes production and quality control standards, develops budget and cost controls, and obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.

  • Provides guidance to the development of the erection process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tolling and equipment needs.

  • Coordinates erection and field service activities with all other functions of the organization and supplies to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.

  • Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.

  • Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of field operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports.

  • Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives.

  • Plans for and schedules sub-contractors.

  • Provides input in research and development of new and emerging products.

  • Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.

  • Provides input to the development of strategic plan of erection division.


Job Specifications or Qualifications:

Certificates, Licenses, Registration: OSHA 10 Hr and OSHA 30 hr Certifications; PCI Field Auditor.

Education: College Degree (4 year) preferred or equivalent experience is required.

Experience: 5 to 7 (+) years prior or related experience is required.

Supervisory Experience: 3 to 5 (+) years is required.

Travel Required: This position is primarily a field position with minimal office time; Employee will travel daily to job sites and occasionally will have to travel out of town for job sites .
