Responsibilities may include theĀ followingĀ and other duties may be assigned.Ā 

  • Coordinates theĀ global strategic planning processĀ for the Cardiac AblationĀ SolutionsĀ operating unitĀ in close collaboration withĀ the global and regional marketing and finance teams.Ā 

  • MonitorsĀ market,Ā competitive, and clinicalĀ dynamicsĀ to distill and project the impact for the business’ global market and epidemiology models.Ā 

  • DevelopsĀ andĀ manages tools, templates, and processes to supportĀ theĀ opportunityĀ and feasibility review phases of the product development process.Ā 

  • MayĀ supportĀ acquisition proposals, recommend financial and nonfinancial strategicĀ objectivesĀ and alternatives, and implement andĀ maintainĀ strategic and operational plans.Ā 

  • Plans and coordinates business reviews, resource allocations, organization structures, and financial analysis.Ā 

PROGRAM MANAGEMENT CAREER STREAM: Program Managers and Directors focus on tactical, operational activities for a major program with broad or ongoing impact. Levels within the program management career stream typicallyĀ accomplishĀ programĀ objectivesĀ through matrixed employee teams and / or vendors who are not direct reports but for which the incumbent has direct accountability to lead.Ā The majority ofĀ time is spent overseeing their area of responsibility, managing program/team performance, communicating project and operational developments, planning, prioritizing and / or directing the responsibilities of program team members. Financial and QuantitativeĀ Analysis: PossessesĀ experience performingĀ financial modeling,Ā marketĀ research, and forecasting.Ā Compiles andĀ consolidatesĀ financial plans andĀ ableĀ to distillĀ findings and recommendationsĀ to management.Ā 

Communication andĀ IndirectĀ Influence: Communicates and leads meetings with internal and external customers and vendors, conducts briefings to higher level management team.Ā 
Influences across functions and businesses while balancing divergentĀ objectivesĀ to gain cooperationĀ ofĀ other parties on programĀ objectivesĀ andĀ support inĀ drivingĀ programĀ execution.Ā 

Required Knowledge and Experience:Ā Requires broad management knowledge and experience to lead project teams in one department.
Typically has mastery level knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with broad understanding of other areas within the job function.


Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$160,000.00 - $240,000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
