Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Program, troubleshoot, and support manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment, tooling, and process-related issues to minimize downtime and support production needs.
- Communicate with Engineers and Operations to support activities from concept development through production implementation.
- Assist in the design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of tooling, fixtures, and production equipment.
- Create, update, and maintain standard work instructions, process documentation, and manufacturing procedures.
- Assist with process validation activities and support the successful implementation of new or changed manufacturing processes.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, and waste elimination.
- Train production employees on new equipment, processes, tooling, fixtures, and work instructions.
- Support production launches, process changes, engineering trials, and equipment runoff activities.
- Collect information, document issues, and communicate findings to engineering, production, quality, and maintenance teams.
- Assist with CNC manufacturing support and demonstrate a willingness to learn CAD/CAM software to help support CNC programming activities.
- Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across departments.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude and comfort working directly with manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to safely use power tools, hand tools, and manufacturing equipment.
- Basic troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause thinking skills.
- Team player with the ability to work well with Engineering, Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Operations personnel.
- Willingness to learn new technologies, equipment, software, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, technical documentation, and basic engineering drawings preferred.
- Experience with robotics, automation, CNC equipment, CAD/CAM software, or manufacturing process improvement is beneficial.
Education and Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- A combination of education, technical training, and/or relevant work experience equivalent to two (2) years will also be considered.
- Technical degree, certification, or coursework in Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology, Robotics, CNC Machining, or a related field is a plus.
