Job Description:

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Program, troubleshoot, and support manufacturing equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment, tooling, and process-related issues to minimize downtime and support production needs.
  • Communicate with Engineers and Operations to support activities from concept development through production implementation.
  • Assist in the design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of tooling, fixtures, and production equipment.
  • Create, update, and maintain standard work instructions, process documentation, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Assist with process validation activities and support the successful implementation of new or changed manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, and waste elimination.
  • Train production employees on new equipment, processes, tooling, fixtures, and work instructions.
  • Support production launches, process changes, engineering trials, and equipment runoff activities.
  • Collect information, document issues, and communicate findings to engineering, production, quality, and maintenance teams.
  • Assist with CNC manufacturing support and demonstrate a willingness to learn CAD/CAM software to help support CNC programming activities.
  • Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across departments.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude and comfort working directly with manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to safely use power tools, hand tools, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Basic troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause thinking skills.
  • Team player with the ability to work well with Engineering, Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Operations personnel.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies, equipment, software, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, technical documentation, and basic engineering drawings preferred.
  • Experience with robotics, automation, CNC equipment, CAD/CAM software, or manufacturing process improvement is beneficial.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • A combination of education, technical training, and/or relevant work experience equivalent to two (2) years will also be considered.
  • Technical degree, certification, or coursework in Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology, Robotics, CNC Machining, or a related field is a plus.
