Juliet Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated and passionate K-5th grade STEM teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching integrated STEM subjects, including science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, through hands-on and project-based learning. The candidate should possess a strong background in STEM education, with a focus on engaging and inspiring students while recognizing God’s design and order in creation.  The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment that fosters innovation, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Teaching certification, ACSI certification is strongly preferred Previous experience teaching lower school STEM or related subjects. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues. Passion for teaching and a commitment to the school's Christian mission and values. Proficiency in educational technology and STEM-related tools and platforms. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and adapt to a dynamic academic environment. QualificationsResponsibilities and Duties:  Guide students through STEM concepts while highlighting God’s Creation and fostering a Biblical worldview aligned with evidence-based inquiry and discovery. Develop and implement effective lesson plans, teaching methods, and assessments for lower school STEM courses, ensuring alignment with academic standards. Possess a general knowledge of a wide range of STEM disciplines, including science, engineering design processes, basic coding, mathematics applications, and technology integration. Establish and maintain a positive classroom culture that encourages student participation, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on student performance through various assessment methods, including tests, projects, presentations, and hands-on STEM challenges. Encourage and support students' involvement in STEM-related extracurricular activities, clubs, and competitions. The lower school STEM program organizes annual projects where students engage in design challenges, innovation showcases, and presentations. Maintain open communication with parents through our FACTS portal, providing regular updates on student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement. Stay informed about current trends and developments in STEM education, attending workshops and conferences to enhance teaching skills and knowledge. Work collaboratively with other faculty members to promote a cohesive and integrated educational experience for students.
