Purpose: Mt. Juliet Christian Academy is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced upper school educator. The Upper School Teacher at Mt. Juliet Christian Academy plays a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of our young learners. Responsible for fostering a positive and engaging learning environment, the Upper School Teacher ensures the holistic development of students academically, socially, and emotionally. Through innovative teaching methods and compassionate guidance, the Upper School Teacher instills a love for learning, nurtures curiosity, and prepares students for future academic success while nurturing their spiritual growth. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Active in a local church and a loving, developing relationship with Jesus Christ. Commitment to Christian values and the mission of First Baptist Church Mt. Juliet and Mt. Juliet Christian Academy. Able to apply and hold an active ACSI Teaching License. Previous experience teaching preferred. Proficient in instructional technology and educational software Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students. Responsibilities and Duties: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that align with ACSI and the school's curriculum and educational standards. Create a positive and spiritual classroom environment that promotes student learning and well-being. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with learning challenges and gifted students. Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to students and parents. Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units and enriching learning experiences. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and any concerns. Implement classroom management strategies that promote a safe, respectful, and disciplined learning environment. Integrate technology into instruction to enhance learning experiences and facilitate 21st-century skills development. Participate in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in education and curriculum updates.
