PEAC Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Valuation Specialist to support our Asset Management organization. This role is responsible for evaluating equipment collateral, establishing residual values, assessing asset risk, and providing market intelligence that supports underwriting, pricing, portfolio management, and end-of-term strategies. The ideal candidate combines strong equipment expertise with financial acumen and a deep understanding of secondary markets across a variety of equipment classes, including construction, industrial, healthcare, and technology assets.
As a subject matter expert, you will analyze market trends, equipment lifecycles, manufacturer performance, and remarketing opportunities to develop accurate valuation recommendations and residual assumptions. You will partner closely with Sales, Credit, and Finance teams to optimize portfolio performance while minimizing residual risk. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence business growth through data-driven asset valuation, strategic portfolio management, and market leading equipment expertise.
Essential Functions:
- Perform equipment valuations for new originations, portfolio reviews, modifications, and end-of-term transactions.
- Establish and maintain residual value assumptions and residual value matrices across assigned asset classes.
- Analyze equipment useful life, depreciation patterns, utilization trends, and market liquidity.
- Provide valuation recommendations for construction, industrial, healthcare, technology, and other equipment categories.
- Monitor auction results, dealer listings, wholesale transactions, and secondary market trends.
- Track economic, regulatory, environmental, and industry developments that may influence equipment values.
- Maintain knowledge of equipment manufacturers, emerging technologies, and market demand shifts.
- Develop market intelligence reports to support pricing, credit, and portfolio management decisions.
- Conduct periodic residual value reviews to identify impairment risks and triggering events.
- Analyze portfolio concentrations, market exposures, and asset-specific risks.
- Recommend valuation adjustments and reserve actions when market conditions warrant.
- Partner with Credit, Sales, and Operations to evaluate new business opportunities involving residual positions.
- Provide valuation guidance during underwriting and approval processes and support structuring decisions.
- Assess asset quality, expected return conditions, and disposition strategies.
- Develop and document asset exit strategies for lease and loan transactions.
- Estimate marketability, time-to-disposition, and recovery expectations.
- Provide recommendations regarding repossession, refurbishment, redeployment, or liquidation scenarios.
- Prepare valuation reports, residual reviews, portfolio analyses, and management presentations.
- Maintain asset databases, valuation tools, and market reference information.
- Track valuation performance metrics and residual realization results.
- Develop relationships with OEMs, dealers, brokers, auction companies, appraisers, and industry specialists.
- Participate in trade shows, industry conferences, and market events to stay current on asset value trends.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on equipment valuation and residual risk across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred) or equivalent experience.
- 5+ Years of experience in equipment leasing and finance industry is required, preferably within Asset Management related disciplines.
- Advanced understanding of equipment valuation policy, with inâdepth knowledge of market trends, valuation methodologies, and sales channel optimization.
- Excellent negotiation, communication skills, critical thinking skills, ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent computer skills including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; especially highly proficient with advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, macros, data analysis tools) and strong experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and CRM/ERP systems.
- Selfâmotivated with the ability to work independently, work as part of a team.
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex market data, generate actionable insights, and influence decisionâmaking at the senior management level.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with a proven ability to drive process improvement projects and manage complex, multiâstakeholder initiatives.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to balance shortâterm objectives with longâterm company goals,
including sustainability initiatives and new market expansion opportunities.
