Milacron is looking for a Manufacturing Tooling Engineer to join our team on-site in Mt. Orab, OH. In this position, you will be responsible for leading tooling and process improvement initiatives, implementing new manufacturing technologies, optimizing production processes, and supporting quality and operational excellence across manufacturing operations.

Work You’ll Do:

  • Serve as the project leader for new tool testing and process improvement projects.
  • Identify, evaluate, test, and implement new tooling technologies into production.
  • Resolve manufacturing processing problems related to tooling and associated components.
  • Review current machine setups and fixtures; design and implement process improvements.
  • Collaborate with CAD Engineers to introduce new tooling and manufacturing processes.
  • Capture and report testing results and improvement project outcomes to management.
  • Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and expedite completion to support internal schedules.
  • Develop and document manufacturing processes within the ERP system.
  • Create and maintain data collection and analysis methods for assigned products.
  • Perform in-process audits within manufacturing operations.
  • Partner with Quality and cross-functional teams to develop quality plans for assigned products.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role within the metal cutting industry.
  • Experience working with lathes, drills, mills, grinders, heat treat equipment, and welding equipment.
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System.
  • Strong background in root cause analysis and resolution of quality issues in manufacturing environments.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with CAD/CAM software, word processing applications, and spreadsheet software.
