Job DetailsJob Location: Fellowship Carolina Park - Mount Pleasant, SC 29466 Consistently maintain a joyful and energetic attitude/demeanor along with being organized and highly motivated to assist residents with life enrichment activities. Ensure all activities are conducted in a manner and in an environment that ensures residents' safety and security at all times. Create, schedule, and implement individual and group activities designed to meet the social, spiritual, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs of our residents, such as events, outings, games, and exercises. Coordinate with ED to ensure an appropriate amount of books, puzzles, games, and magazines are available to residents. Ensure the types of activities offered are relevant and refreshed/updated, as needed. Coordinate with outside individuals/groups/organizations when they visit Fellowship Home to ensure the needs of Fellowship Home and our residents are being met, including performance groups, church groups, gifts from individuals, etc. Assist in training volunteers as to resident care standards as needed with such events/visitations. Coordinate communication of activities via community newsletters and social media outlets (Facebook) as needed. Ensure any written, verbal, and/or visual communication on behalf of Fellowship Home is grammatically correct and encouraging/uplifting toward our residents. Develop and maintain positive rapport and effective communication with residents/families, staff, and the healthcare community to reflect favorably on Fellowship Home and to promote goodwill in the communities we serve. Assist with managing the planning, development, and execution of various internal and external special events, including cook-outs, games, festivals, etc. Assist with transporting residents to special recreational outings and individual appointments. Assist ED as needed with planning and implementation of business/community development efforts for Fellowship Home and how such efforts contribute to growth and development in expanding client base and occupancy standards. Assist ED as needed in maintaining quality control and operational effectiveness in the areas of resident care, food services, housekeeping, transporting, etc. Maintain understanding and awareness of the Department of Community Health’s Healthcare Facility Regulation Division’s Rules and Regulations for Assisted Living Communities, interpret them appropriately, and apply them to effectively achieve and maintain operational effectiveness. Be available on-call for after-hours and holidays, and be available as needed for crisis management and emergencies. Take on special projects as needed and coordinated with the ED.     QualificationsA high school diploma (or GED) and at least one year of programming experience with senior adults is required. An associate’s degree with an emphasis on recreation, health education, or a related field is preferred. A passion for seniors and the ability to maintain a positive, energetic demeanor are required. An excellent driving record is also required. Assisted living and/or memory care experience is a plus.
