Description
The Bartender is responsible for providing friendly, efficient beverage service in the hotel’s bar and lounge area at the Marriott Residence Inn at Patriot’s Point. This role focuses on creating a welcoming, relaxed environment for hotel guests while maintaining brand standards, responsible alcohol service, and excellent hospitality.
This is an opening-team opportunity ideal for bartenders who enjoy consistent service, guest interaction, and being part of a collaborative hotel team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and brand standards
- Provide warm, professional service to hotel guests in the bar and lounge area
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, storage areas, and service stations
- Verify guest identification and follow responsible alcohol service laws and policies
- Monitor guest consumption and handle situations professionally and safely
- Accurately process transactions and handle cash and POS systems
- Stock, rotate, and maintain bar inventory and supplies
- Assist with light food service coordination with the kitchen as needed
- Support opening procedures, training, and operational setup
- Comply with all health, safety, and company policies

Requirements
Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience required (hotel experience preferred)
- Knowledge of basic cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong guest service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Must meet all local and state requirements for alcohol service
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30–40 lbs
- Reliable attendance and professional appearance
