JOB SUMMARY
The Digital Press Operator is responsible for the precision operation, technical management, and maintenance of multiple state-of-the-art systems. This role serves as a critical link in the production chain, ensuring that high-tech machinery is calibrated for peak performance to deliver high-quality outputs on strict deadlines. The ideal candidate blends mechanical aptitude with software proficiency to drive efficiency and operational excellence.

Responsibilities and Activities:
- Sets up machine per individual job
- Runs machine at optimal speed to meet production standards
- Performs adjustments on machine to ensure maximum productivity
- Loads components onto machine per job instructions
- Performs regular quality checks on all components and finished packages to ensure quality standards are met
- Recalibrates equipment as required
- Communicates job status and production concerns/issues during shift transition to ensure optimal productivity for following shift
- Notifies Team Lead of component quality issues
- Works with Team Lead to resolve quality concerns
- Ensures safety practices are followed
- Responsible for maintenance and organization of workflow area
- Completes appropriate reporting of production KPIs
- Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education
- High school diploma or GED.
Work Experience
- Six months experience as a digital inserter operator or 2 years’ experience running production equipment.
- Prior experience with computers and software driven mechanical systems.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret job instructions
- Ability to work with both computers and mechanical systems
- Comfortable working in a team environment
- Ability to monitor production equipment for speed and quality
- Proficiency with software driven mechanical systems
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, including moving up to 10 pounds regularly and lifting to 45 pounds intermittently
- Knowledge of mechanical operations
- Knowledge of production processes
- Basic knowledge of postal guidelines for sorted mail preferred
