We are seeking an experienced High-Level PCB Assembler to support our growing 2nd shift operations. This role is ideal for a skilled professional with strong rework and soldering expertise who can build, modify, and repair complex printed circuit board assemblies to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Build through-hole (THT) and surface mount (SMT) PCB assemblies per controlled documentation
- Perform rework and repair of PCB assemblies, including trace cuts and jumper additions
- Hand-solder SMT and THT components to IPC-A-610 Class 3 standards
- Wire and solder prototypes and complex assemblies of unique designs
- Operate equipment such as aqueous cleaners and component placement tools
- Assist with wave solder and selective solder processes
- Cut, form, and manually place components
- Assemble chassis and electromechanical components using various hardware
- Recommend documentation improvements to enhance quality and efficiency
- Provide guidance and support to PCB Assembler I & II team members
- Maintain strict adherence to quality standards and workmanship guidelines
Qualifications & Skills
- Advanced ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
- Strong component identification knowledge
- Proven soldering skills meeting IPC-A-610 Class 3 standards
- Experience with PCB rework (SMT & THT) and rework soldering equipment
- Proficiency using SN63, SN96, and HMP solder materials
- Ability to assemble medium to highly complex electronic assemblies
- Strong attention to detail in high-volume, precision-driven environments
- Ability to handle small, delicate components with accuracy
- Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Required Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 5 years of PCB assembly experience (including rework)
