Role:

Responsibilities include creating, implementing, and maintaining marketing strategies to effectively promote the credit union through storytelling and influence. Must manage social media presence, work across departments to ensure accurate messaging, support and protect the brand by providing first-class service. Mange online discussions and track topics to prepare reports for internal use. Engage with members though promotions, blogs, daily post, event planning, and any other communication channels.

  • Create and implement engaging, interactive and informative content. Maintain content distribution network by way of social media channels which includes Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snap Chat, YouTube, Pinterest and Tik Tok as well as the Educators' website, and other communication. Create content for feeds, blogs, and other information in social media to create brand awareness.
  • Write, design, and produce educational resources and promotional information, internal, and external web, social media, and other external communication. Contribute suggestions and brainstorm ideas for marketing campaigns. Help plan and create items for events and outside marketing activities. Assist with the direct mail programs, web site marketing, and marketing research.
  • Work with other functional areas to develop staff resources and communication materials for promotional and member communication activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: One to three years of similar or related experience including social media experience, excellent customer service, strategic planning, event planning, research and reporting, and familiarity with Adobe programs, Apple products, and Microsoft Office.

Education: High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s Degree a plus but not required.

Interpersonal Skills: Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.

Other Skills: Two or more years of experience in marketing and graphic design is a plus; proficient writing is required. Able to integrate the branding concept into daily work; must be self-motivated and have good organization, communication and people skills. Physical requirements include standing, sitting, using hands and fingers, reaching including reaching above the shoulders, talking and hearing, visual acuity, occasional stooping, crouching, or kneeling, and occasional lifting a maximum of 25 pounds.
