Title: Facilities Janitor

Division/Site Specific Information

Role reports to the Mount Prospect, IL site and reports to the Clinical Trials Division (CTD). CTD partners with pharmaceutical and biotech customers around the world to ensure the right patients get the right therapies in the right doses at the right time – a concept that we internally embrace as “There is a Patient Waiting.” Our outstanding blend of services includes project management, packaging, distribution, transportation management and specialty logistics, ancillary supply management, clinical supply optimization, bio-repository storage and much more.

Work Schedule

Days (First Shift) Weekends as needed

Environmental Conditions

Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, cold chain gear, ear plugs etc.)

Discover Impactful Work:

Responsible for cleaning and organizing all areas of the facility in accordance with local SOPs. Maintains an adequate supply of cleaning materials to perform duties. Reports all building deficiencies to the supervisor.

A Day in the Life:

  • Cleans all areas of the facility and grounds as indicated. Documents within GMP systems that all required tasks have been completed.

  • Ensure all trash and cardboard boxes are collected and disposed of daily.

  • Oversees stock on all janitorial supplies, informing purchasing department when needing to replenish. Maintain cleanliness and organization of utility room.

  • Completes additional housekeeping duties, as needed to support special facilities projects.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Relevant formal academic / or vocational certificate highly preferred.

Experience

  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0 to 1 year).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Knowledge of appropriate cleaning methods and procedures

  • Ability to read and follow directions

  • Ability to complete GMP documentation

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to learn, understand and follow OSHA regulations

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Illinois is $14.41–$21.61.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
