Location: Mount Vernon, NY
Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour
Hours: On-Site Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM w/ 1HR Lunch Break (35hrs/week)

OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Finance Specialist (I) is responsible for performing account reconciliations on a monthly basis, entering and interpreting general ledger accounts and statements, as well as appropriately using software to update vendor and employee profiles.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for timely completion/submission of transactions & reviewing for accuracy. Performs corrections as needed to ensure transaction completion and seeks assistance when needed to minimize errors or lost revenue/unnecessary expenses

Responsible to post transactions on subsidiary journals by using the appropriate software on a regular basis and performs daily routine reconciliations to ensure accuracy

Responsible to maintain/update vendor/employee profiles and change information

Assists or performs monthly reconciliations to general ledger as appropriate with assistance

Computer skills-working knowledge of how to use a computer. Basic knowledge of how to use word processor, spreadsheet and database software

Organized, precise, and able to perform routine job responsibilities

Responsible to work effectively in a team environment

Maintenance of all documentation and keeping all filing up to date
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONAL / ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT:
- Assignments may be determined at a future date
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:
- Demonstration of math aptitude
- Strong computer skills particularly in Microsoft Excel
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Previous related experience
