Role Overview

The Program Supervisor leads and coordinates a multidisciplinary, community-based team providing integrated treatment to individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. This role exists to ensure consistent, recovery-oriented, person-centered services that meet fidelity standards and support strong outcomes.

Key responsibilities include providing administrative and clinical supervision; hiring, onboarding, coaching, and supporting staff development; running structured team meetings for communication, case coordination, and collaborative treatment planning; ensuring use of evidence-based practices and model standards; assisting staff in addressing client needs tied to recovery, housing stability, and community integration; strengthening team communication and resolving conflict; and tracking program results to drive continuous quality improvement.

Required qualifications/skills:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related behavioral health field
- Ohio licensure preferred (LISW, LPCC, or equivalent)
- Experience with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
- Supervisory/team leadership experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

A Typical Day

You’ll start onsite by reviewing schedules, coverage, and any urgent client updates, then connect briefly with team members to confirm priorities. Midday often includes a focused case review and a structured team huddle to align on treatment planning and documentation expectations. You’ll spend time consulting with staff on clinical questions, supporting timely follow-through with community partners, and checking key performance measures. Later, you’ll address escalations calmly, document supervisory notes, and close out the day by preparing for upcoming staffing needs and quality-improvement follow-ups.
