Job DetailsJob Location: Molecular Designs- PP - Birmingham, AL 35243Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High SchoolTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: DayMolecular Designs is seeking a motivated and detail orientated individual to act as a Logistics Specialist in our distribution center. This position will be responsible for executing day-to-day activities related to customer shipments from order receipt to final shipment to the customer, as well as other departmental duties as outlined below.   Access various business systems and input data with a high level or accuracy. Accurately pick and pack product against shipping orders. Perform all work activities in a safe and compliant manner according to all Molecular Designs policies, procedures, and training. Perform physical counts of product and materials. Using manual labor and pallet jacks to move product and supplies to/from storage locations and delivery trucks. Record creation, collection, and storage per corporate retention schedules. Perform department related project activity that may include investigating, analyzing, formulating possible solutions, document processes, and communicating results. Qualifications Inventory management or Bio/Pharma industry experience. Ability to follow detailed verbal and written instruction. Basic mathematical skills. Proficiency with PC desktop applications and business operations software system. Ability to work in a highly cooperative team environment. Flexibility in duty assignment and ability to work over-time, holidays, and weekends as needed. Experience and proven abilities to analytically investigate and troubleshoot issues and drive the implementation of solutions. Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and execute work appropriately with minimal supervision. Experience using ERP systems (NetSuite experience is a plus) Experience working in Quality Management Systems. Lean manufacturing principles.
