As a Pharmacy Intern, you'll work alongside experienced pharmacists who are committed to mentoring the next generation of pharmacy professionals. You'll gain valuable hands-on experience in patient care, prescription processing, immunizations, medication counseling, and pharmacy operations while building the skills needed for a successful career in community pharmacy.

Many of our Pharmacy Interns transition into full-time Staff Pharmacist positions after graduation and licensure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in providing exceptional patient-centered care.
  • Accurately prepare and process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
  • Assist with immunizations and clinical services as permitted by state law.
  • Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
  • Support inventory management and medication ordering.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and store associates to deliver a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an ACPE-accredited Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program.
  • Active Pharmacy Intern license (or eligible for licensure) in the state of employment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Passion for helping patients improve their health.

    Preferred

    • Previous retail pharmacy experience.
    • Current CPR certification.
    • Immunization certification
