Summary/Objective
To provide team leadership and management to attain safety, quality, delivery, cost and talent building objectives for the MAU associates supporting Kimberly-Clark.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours are 6pm-7am 2-2-3 shift rotation, 24/7 operation.
Essential Functions
Customer Expectations:
- This position will strive to achieve exceptional product and process knowledge in every element of the area. This knowledge will be focused on team development of the crews. Critical to this effort will be developing, through interaction, the total skill sets of the Material Handler. The goal is to have the skills developed to a point where the incumbents can provide support and relief as a functioning group.
- The incumbent reports to the Operations Manager and receives work direction from this Manager based on circumstances and conditions that might exist.
- She/he must possess an exceptional understanding of quality management/quality processes, environmental management, operations processes knowledge and business skills.
- This individual will continuously strive to become an expert on the customers, products, processes, quality systems, machinery and controls in the warehouse area.
- She/he must communicate directly with Kimberly-Clark Corporation Leadership Team, MAU Leadership, audit and/or regulatory personnel to ensure agreed upon performance expectations are met or exceeded.
- A critical element of this position is to effectively work with the total team in the timely completion of assigned duties and requirements.
- Coordinate development and management of effective training databases for the Crews.
- Provide supervision of the MAU staff assigned to specific assets on rotating shift operation
- Flow to work scheduling based on production
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert with processes and continuous improvement
- Ensure that processes are completed to SQDC standards
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws
- Management of multiple raw materials that have critical process variables that must be controlled
Talent Management

- Provide leadership to Associates within the warehouse as well as across the Mill.
- Sustain and support Leader Standard Work for MAU.
- Assist with conflict resolution between employees and the customer as well as between employees.
- Provide coaching, training and mentoring to all MAU employees and within.
Crisis Management

- On shift safety issues, injuries, property damage and personnel incident reporting security compliance, post-accident reports and drug screens
Operational Management
-
- Supervise the warehouse with safety as priority number one.
- Ensure profitability of the department by controlling costs and managing the workforce to best meet the customer’s needs.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to help gain operational excellence and reduce costs.
- Provide outstanding MAU Customer Service.
- Investigate material damage and material shortage
- Ensure compliance with GMP, dress code and MAU policies
- Update communication boards and address issues that are “Red”
- Employee attendance counseling
- Payroll/KRONOS maintenance
- Active participation in Simple Problem Solving.
Other Duties:

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or 3 years applicable experience
Supervisory Responsibility
Direct the activity of shift supervision and 15-30 hourly employees on site at Kimberly Clark, Hendersonville.

Work Environment or Working Conditions
The working conditions and environments are created by our customer’s facilities both in administrative areas and manufacturing environments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Customer sites sometimes include process manufacturing equipment and heavy power industrial vehicles. Environments may vary from non-temperature-controlled environments to GMP clean room required.
Physical Demands
This position may require the above to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation:
· Must be able to walk up to 8+ miles daily.
· Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs.
Travel
Occasional travel may be needed but limited to less than 25 miles per month
