Job Purpose:

We are looking for hardworking individuals to apply to perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

Job Details:

This is a first shift position, and the hours are from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
This position starts at $14.40/hour
All positions are safety sensitive. A safety sensitive position is any position designated in writing by an employer, in which a person performing the position while under the influence of marijuana may constitute a threat to health or safety.

Qualified candidates will be asked to submit to drug testing.

Requirements

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Unloading trucks and checking in merchandise.
Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
Open bales, crates and other containers.
Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed. May also assist in counting of physical inventory.
Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat.
Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
Wear the proper safety equipment.
Receives material coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other warehouses accurately and promptly.
Verifies the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing list.
Examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items. Appropriately report/record any discrepancies.
To accurately place materials on shelves, in racks or other designated storage areas in an orderly manner.
Attaches identifying tag or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
Ensure warehouse/equipment is maintained on a regular basis.
Safely operate all the necessary equipment in work area.
To accurately identify and count stock materials as listed on the cycle count list.
Perform other duties, assignments and responsibilities as needed.

Essential qualifications include:

Must be able to work in non-climate controlled environment.
Must be able to bend at waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time.
Must be able to wear proper safety equipment.
Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
Able to withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment.
Position may require climbing of ladders for top-level selection.

Preferred Qualifications include:

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
1-2 yrs. previous warehouse experience preferred.
Effective communication, organizational, time management mathematical skills.
Be able to identify product by size, type, style, color or product code.
Solid reading skills – must be able to read orders/match orders on shipping tickets to items picked.
Basic math skills and reasoning skills.
Certification of power-truck equipment.
Ability to understand and execute instructions.
General understanding of the warehouse.
Dependable and Reliable.
