What You’ll Do Teach engaging, age-appropriate swim lessons that build confidence and water safety skills. Create a fun, welcoming environment where swimmers of all ages and abilities can thrive. Supervise the pool and respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies. Enforce pool safety rules while providing excellent member service. QualificationsLifeguards: At least 15 years of age.  Certifications: current YMCA Lifeguard or equivalent.  Ability to maintain certification-level of physical and mental readiness  Must demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards AED, CPR, First Aid certified   Swim Instructors: Must be able to demonstrate swim instructor skills in accordance with YMCA standards.  Must be a strong, competent swimmer, and be able to demonstrate freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly.  Must be able to maintain a positive attitude towards students and staff.
