Logos Space is a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite system purpose-built to serve the connectivity needs of the commercial enterprise users and government users. We will help fill an important gap in the market, providing resilient, high-performance satellite-based connectivity services to enterprise and government customers worldwide. Business customers have contracts with agreed-upon performance standards for their broadband, and Logos will build these capabilities into the system from the beginning. Position Summary, Responsibilities, & Qualifications
The engineering team at Logos Space work on the design, development, flight validation, assembly, integration, test, and inflight success of the logos fleet of spacecraft. Avionics engineering is responsible for ensuring that flight avionics on the logos bus and payload are fully validated ensuring the success of our network via analysis and test. The development of suitable facilities and the required ground support equipment also falls within the purview of the engineering team. Avionics engineers will support hardware design activities from the idea stage to flight.
You should be prepared to work and thrive in a fast moving environment where you are comfortable taking vague design ideas and turning them into tangible hardware ready for test and flight. We are seeking engineers who love to solve hard problems.
Responsibilities
Responsible for electronics test operations and automation
Own test hardware delivery timeline through entire lifecycle (design, development, and production build)
Generate and release technical drawings,test procedures, and reports in support of the hardware design and validation.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) with relevant electrical design and analysis work experience
A minimum of 3 years experience in electronics testing using oscilloscopes, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, etc.
Experience with custom automated test equipment (ATEs)
Experience with large test equipment (vibration tables, thermal vacuum chambers, HALT chambers)
Experience with harness assembly and PCB rework/assembly
Knowledge of automation/scripting software such as Python and MATLAB
Strong understanding of parts derating and failure mode evaluation
Working with contract manufacturers to build, troubleshoot and test custom hardware
Self-motivated with strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) with relevant electrical design and analysis work experience
Familiarity with circuit simulation software such as LTSpice
Experience with analog control loop design and schematic review
Familiarity with parts derating standards such EEE-INST-002 and ECSS-Q-ST-30-11C
Experience with parts stress analysis
Ability and willingness to attain a Top Secret Clearance
