You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google's artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $163000 - $236000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Seek out all necessary schedule inputs and develop a solid, defensible plan for software development release and keep the team tracking to it.
  • Manage communication of progress/status within the core team and externally (customers, partners, etc.), and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Define the scope of projects and develop, execute, or manage project plans for supported programs related to data governance, ethics, policy, security, and privacy sensitivities.
  • Focus on the user experience and advocate for the Android/Pixel quality bar internally, as well as with OEM internal and external partners to ensure we maintain a great product.
  • Translate complex technical requirements into repeatable operations protocols.
