An autonomous vehicle company is hiring a CDL A Driver Tester to operate and test semi-trucks and other vehicles with advanced driver-assistance and self-driving technology.

This role combines professional driving with testing and feedback for engineering teams.

What You’ll Do

Safely operate semi-trucks, straight trucks, and passenger vehicles
Test driver-assist and self-driving features (on-road and closed course)
Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections (DVIRs)
Provide detailed feedback on vehicle performance
Assist with additional vehicle tasks when needed

Requirements

Valid CDL A license and medical card
5+ years of Class A tractor-trailer experience
Experience driving and backing 53’ trailers
Clean driving record
Ability to pass DOT requirements (drug test, MVR, physical)
Able to pass background check and road test
Comfortable driving for long periods
Willing to travel up to 50%

Driving Record Requirements

No more than 2 minor violations in the past 3 years
No serious violations in the past 5 years
No DUI/DWI in the past 10 years
No preventable accidents in the past 3 years
No major DOT accidents in the past 10 years
