Job Description

  

Lead Mechanical Design for Mission‑Critical RF Hardware

Build the hardware that makes aerospace and defense systems work—at scale.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and grow a team responsible for mechanical design, CAD, and document control
  • Guide the mechanical design of complex microwave assemblies from concept through production
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to transition new products into manufacturing
  • Set clear technical direction, standards, and best practices
  • Review designs, risks, and tradeoffs with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Drive improvements in cost, performance, reliability, and manufacturability
  • Support proposal development and early‑stage concept design
  • Mentor engineers and support hiring and development efforts

What you need

  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills (required)
  • Deep mechanical design expertise for high‑reliability hardware (required)
  • Experience leading products from design into production (required)
  • Background in RF, microwave, or electronics packaging (advantage)
  • Experience with mechanical analysis and CAD tools (required)
  • 15+ years of relevant engineering experience (required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (required; Master’s an advantage)

Salary Range:
