We are looking for an expert in photonics characterization to join our core engineering team!

What you'll do:
  • Responsible for the characterization of novel optical, electrical, and electro-optical photonic devices and circuits.
  • Strong expertise in understanding, adding to and developing test software
  • Define test plan for devices and circuits and develop new tests
  • Work cross-functionally to transfer tests to production
  • Perform wafer-level and die-level probing using DC and RF probe stations
  • Develop and maintain automated test setups using Python, MATLAB
  • Analyze large datasets to extract trends, correlations, and performance limits using Python, JMP or other similar software.
  • Identify process sensitivities and systematic error sources


What you have:
  • Masters or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optical Science or related technical discipline.
  • Hands-on experience in photonic device characterization.
  • Extensive experience with DC/RF probe, wafer-level / die-level tester development.
  • Understanding of silicon photonics devices and architectures.
  • Proficient in Python or MATLAB for testing automation and data analysis


Nice to have:
  • Experience with development of complex photonics circuits
  • Knowledge of foundry PDKs and silicon photonics process constraints
  • Experience in high-volume test or yield analysis
  • Hands on process development experience for optical alignments
