Overview

Come join the Small Business Group Product Development (SBG PD) organization as a Manager 3, Technical Program Manager (TPM), leading Tech Strategy & Planning. In this role, you will be a senior program leader and trusted advisor, responsible for shaping how SBG PD sets priorities, allocates resources, and executes against Intuit’s most critical small business initiatives. You will drive the end-to-end strategic planning, financial operations, and organizational operating rhythm that connect vision to execution—ensuring clarity, alignment, and velocity across the organization.

You will design and steward scalable planning frameworks, deliver data-driven insights that enable quick and informed decision-making, and ensure investment choices maximize impact for customers, employees, and Intuit as a whole. With deep technical acumen and program leadership expertise, you will inspire confidence, influence senior leaders, and empower teams to deliver bold outcomes with speed and purpose.

As a Manager 3 TPM, you will also play a central role in cultivating a high-performing and engaged culture within SBG PD. You will champion operational excellence, foster transparency, and build community—ensuring employees feel connected, supported, and recognized. By combining financial discipline, operational rigor, and people-centered leadership, you will help make SBG PD the best place to work while driving transformational business outcomes for small businesses and accountants worldwide.

What you'll bring

Leadership Experience: 10+ years in roles delivering cross-organizational impact, ideally in strategy, operations, or large-scale program management within a technology environment. Experience managing and developing teams of technical program managers is strongly preferred.

Strategic & Analytical Acumen: Ability to connect strategy to execution, with strong problem-solving, resource allocation, and financial planning skills. Excellent quantitative analysis capabilities with a data-driven decision-making mindset.

Operational Expertise: Proven ability to design and scale planning frameworks, operational rhythms, and portfolio management practices across complex organizations. Demonstrated ability to understand end-to-end processes and come up to speed quickly on new business domains.

Executive Communication: Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to create compelling narratives for diverse audiences, including c-level executives.

Change Leadership: Demonstrated success leading transformational change, navigating ambiguity, and aligning stakeholders around shared goals. Highly self-motivated and willing to proactively take on issues within teams and the company at large

Passion & Drive: Passion for excellence and a strong desire to have a significant impact on the business. Highly self-motivated, proactive, and willing to take on issues within teams and across the company at large.

Technical Acumen:  Strong understanding of software development approaches, architecture, and lifecycle, with experience applying Agile methodologies. Applies AI tools not only for productivity but as augmentation across processes.

People Leadership: Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams, creating growth opportunities, and fostering a culture of inclusion and innovation.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree/certificates preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.

How you will lead

Orchestrate End-to-End Strategic Planning

  • Lead annual and in-year strategic and portfolio planning processes, ensuring clear alignment to enterprise and SBG PD priorities.
  • Establish frameworks for goal setting, resource allocation, prioritization and decision making to ensure transparency and impact.
  • Partner closely with senior leadership to define and execute organizational strategy, ensuring agility in adapting to changing business needs.

Financial Operations & Investment Management

  • Own financial operations for SBG PD, including budget planning, investment reviews, and in-year tracking of spend and resources.
  • Partner with Finance and Procurement to drive efficient, value-maximizing investment strategies.
  • Ensure financial discipline, risk mitigation, and trade-off transparency in decision-making.

Elevate Operational Excellence & Data-Driven Insights

  • Build and scale dashboards, metrics, and reporting mechanisms to provide leaders with actionable insights.
  • Develop processes, tools, and automation that enable fast, high-quality decision-making across the organization.
  • Champion best practices in operating rhythm, governance, and continuous improvement.

Cultivate an Engaged & High-Performing Culture

  • Design and lead organizational engagement strategies, ensuring employees feel connected, empowered, and recognized.
  • Partner with HR, Communications, and cross-functional teams to build community, drive inclusion, and foster collaboration.
  • Mentor and grow a high-performing Tech Strategy & Planning team, creating opportunities for career development and leadership growth.
