Role and ResponsibilitiesÂ
Store Operations & Guest ExperienceÂ
- Oversee all daily retail functions, including opening and closing procedures, cleanliness, and overall presentationÂ
- Deliver warm, helpful, and informed service to guests — creating a welcoming and memorable shopping experienceÂ
- Maintain a polished, organized, and professional store environment that reflects the ranch’s values and aestheticÂ
- Step in where needed to support team and operations — this is a hands-on, collaborative roleÂ
Merchandising & BuyingÂ
- Curate and manage product assortment aligned with the ranch’s identity — prioritizing high-quality, regionally relevant goodsÂ
- Plan seasonal rotations and thematic displays to enhance storytelling and product engagementÂ
- Foster and maintain relationships with local and national vendorsÂ
- Design and maintain creative, visually appealing merchandising that reflects both brand and landscapeÂ
Inventory & Systems ManagementÂ
- Monitor stock levels, product expiration dates and conduct regular inventory auditsÂ
- Manage product ordering, receiving, tagging, and inventory trackingÂ
- Utilize POS and inventory management systems accurately and efficiently (e.g., Lightspeed, Shopify, or similar)Â
- Ensure smooth coordination of product restocking and turnoverÂ
Team Leadership & TrainingÂ
- Hire, train, and supervise a small seasonal team; support performance through regular feedback and coachingÂ
- Foster a positive, respectful work environment grounded in clear communication and shared goalsÂ
- Set clear expectations and lead by example in professionalism, service, and teamworkÂ
Sales & Performance OversightÂ
- Track daily, weekly, and seasonal sales performance; analyze data to inform buying and inventory decisionsÂ
- Set and meet sales goals aligned with broader property performanceÂ
Qualifications Â
- Retail management or buying experience, ideally in a boutique or hospitality settingÂ
- Strong knowledge of retail operations and visual merchandisingÂ
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentÂ
- Familiarity with outdoor lifestyle brands or regional artisansÂ
- Passion for hospitality and the guest experienceÂ
- Proficiency in inventory and point-of-sale software (Lightspeed, Shopify, or similar), cash and card transactions, and closing reports
