We are hiring an experienced Production Supervisor for our Mt. Pleasant, PA manufacturing facility (3rd shift: 11pm -- 7am).

Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the overall safety, quality, and efficiency of assigned production shift (s). This role involves overseeing and coordinating daily production activities, managing and developing personnel, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures. .

Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Safety: Ensure a safe work environment by enforcing safety policies, conducting accident investigations, implementing corrective actions, and developing safe operating procedures. Accompany injured employees for treatment.
  • Production Management: Execute and communicate production plans, monitor staffing and equipment needs, oversee startup and shutdown operations, ensure optimal production performance, and manage production schedules and workflows. Track and manage production KPIs.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor defect rates, report quality issues, ensure adherence to standard work and work instructions, and ensure quality control inspections and reporting are completed hourly. Conduct regular quality checks and address quality concerns.
  • Continuous Improvement: Provide leadership in continuous improvement by introducing / sustaining lean manufacturing concepts. Identify and implement improvements to processes and procedures, reduce scrap and rework, and encourage employee participation in improvement activities.
  • Employee Relations & Development: Manage and develop production personnel through coaching, performance evaluations, corrective actions, and by identifying and nurturing future leaders.
  • Administrative & Reporting: Monitor and update the timekeeping system (payroll). Generate reports on performance and progress.
  • Support production leadership as needed, including production supervisor coverage
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay & Work Schedule

  • Salary Range: $55,000 -- $65,000 annually, depending on experience
  • Schedule: Monday -- Friday; Saturdays as business dictate
  • For information purposes, production shifts are as follows:
    • 1st: 7:00 AM -- 3:00 PM
    • 2nd: 3:00 PM -- 11:00 PM
    • 3rd: 11:00 PM -- 7:00 AM (opening is available on this shift)

Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience leading/developing teams to improve workflow and performance.
  • Envelope‑manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant production software.
  • Strong problem‑solving, time‑management, and communication skills, including the ability to evaluate and actively listen.
  • Solid understanding of production processes, with a firm commitment to safety and quality; able to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to evaluate and verify color accuracy for print/inspection applications preferred.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and non‑traditional hours.
  • Self‑starter who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and exercises sound independent judgment.
  • Strong math skills and the ability to accurately interpret measurements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and move throughout the work area for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (heavier with assistance) and occasionally lift/push/pull up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to remain in stationary positions (sitting/standing) as needed
  • Regular exposure to noise, moving machinery, fumes, airborne particles, inks, adhesives
  • Must wear required PPE (e.g., hearing protection, safety footwear) and maintain a safe, compliant work environment
