Job Summary
Under general supervision, assists in the operation of (one or multi-color) lithographic printing press to print in accordance with job orders.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)
- Reads instructions and assists in press setup.
- Assists in preventative maintenance on presses such as lubrication, replacement of small parts, cleaning and minor adjustments to rollers and other small moving parts.
- Reads and follows Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for chemicals used.
- Sees to the proper handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals.
- Assists with press cleaning and keeping immediate work area neat and orderly.
- Completes all roll handling, including loading and unloading of printed and unprinted material from machine.

- Performs other duties as required
- Will be moved to other production tasks as business needs dictate

Job Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working on an offset press preferred
- Good mechanical problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working with large mechanical equipment
- Ability to follow federal and state hazardous waste handling and disposal regulations
- Ability to work under pressure and meet short deadlines
- Ability to read, understand and apply written instructions.
- Must be able to work OT as needed up to 12 hours, days/nights and front end/back end of the week
- 3rd Shift Position. Must be able to train on 1st Shift.

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud (hearing protection is provided and required). The employee is often required to sit; climb or balance; and walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Employee must have the ability to remain standing for an entire shift.
- Employee must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
