A Day in the Life:
In the position of Facilities Assistant, you will play a critical, hands‑on role supporting facilities management by overseeing multiple facilities, driving operational excellence, and ensuring building maintenance, functionality, and day‑to‑day preservation are executed with speed, precision, and relentless attention to detail.
The Impact You'll Make:
- Support facilities management and oversee the facility in the areas of facilities maintenance, day-to-day operations, building condition, general upkeep, janitorial, and housekeeping. Monitor all building conditions, ensure the facility is inspection-ready at all times, and ensure all repairs and improvements are made in a timely and proficient manner. Provide suggestions for repair, improvements, and cost efficiencies.
- Manage the shuttle program and drivers, fill in as an alternate driver as necessary. Ability to drive a forklift and assist office services as necessary.
- Manage employees and vendors by assigning duties and overseeing the work of contractors to ensure facilities maintenance needs are met, including electrical, plumbing, heating/cooling, ventilation, roofing, and security.
- Audit employee locations for accurate seating records. Process employee updates promptly and accurately.
Who You Are:
- Prefer a Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Facility Management, Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or a related field of study
- Additional Experience Desired: Between 1–3 years of experience in facility and warehouse maintenance in a management position
- Additional Experience Desired: Between 1–3 years of experience in HVAC, building codes, plumbing, and electrical repairs
- Computer Skills Desired: Microsoft Office proficient
