Job DetailsJob Location: Mount Sterling, KY 40353Position Type: Full TimeJDH Contracting - Laborer Tower/Civils Division This is an entry level position performing skilled/unskilled civil construction. Our Laborers work independently according to accepted standards of the trade, supervisory direction., EXAMPLES OF DUTIES 路 Grade area for erosion control as required. 路 Excavation with a hand shovel. 路 Operates a truck or other vehicle to reach the work site. 路 Read and interpret blueprints and designs; discusses work to be performed with Site Lead or others. 路 Answer inquiries from citizens regarding work performed. 路 Selects tools, equipment, and materials required for the job; load and unload materials and equipment. 路 Maintain records of work performed and materials used; may assist other maintenance crews in emergency situations or take immediate action to mitigate hazards. QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of: 路 Tools, equipment, methods and materials for basic construction and maintenance 路 Tools, equipment, practices and techniques related to the safe work environment. 路 Communication installation and maintenance methods and techniques; use and care of hand and power tools common to the trade. Skill in: 路 Performing skilled construction and maintenance work. 路 Reading and interpreting plans and specifications. 路 Understanding and following oral and written directions. 路 Calculating quantities and distances. 路 Maintaining accurate records and preparing simple reports of work performed. 路 Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of the work. 聽 QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 路 Equivalent to completion of high school 路 Valid Driver鈥檚 License and ability to obtain a driver鈥檚 medical certificate 路 Willingness and ability to travel to multi-state job site
