This role is part of our Hypersonics and Strategic Missile Defense business, which designs, develops, and delivers highly dependable missile systems for hypersonic and strategic missile defense missions. We provide integrated, mission-ready hardware that brings together multiple technologies into unified systems engineered to perform in demanding operational environments. Our tip-to-tail capabilities include payload protection and deployment systems, propulsion systems, aerodynamic interstage systems, separation systems, missile subsystems, shroud systems, launch systems, and payload integration solutions.

The Product Planner supports the Harness Shop by creating detailed, accurate manufacturing plans that guide production and procurement activities. This role works closely with manufacturing, quality, engineering, purchasing, and program teams to ensure material requirements, fabrication processes, and product specifications are fully reflected in planning. By coordinating supplier communication, monitoring materials, and maintaining bill of materials (BOM) accuracy, the Product Planner helps ensure efficient execution of harness production operations.

Responsibilities

  • Interprets engineered prints and engineering databases to create complete and accurate manufacturing plans using EPICOR.
  • Coordinates with program managers and engineers to incorporate product requirements into planning.
  • Works closely with manufacturing leads to integrate fabrication and assembly processes into plans.
  • Collaborates with quality engineering and quality assurance to ensure quality requirements are fully reflected.
  • Prepares purchase requisitions and creates purchase suggestions based on program needs.
  • Maintains the product bill of materials (BOM) and uses it to guide procurement planning.
  • Solicits supplier quotes as needed for required materials.
  • Tracks delivery dates and on‑time status for purchased and manufactured materials.
  • Builds strong working relationships with manufacturing teams and suppliers to resolve issues.
  • Communicates plan changes or deviations to program managers.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in a related discipline.
  • Three or more years of applicable experience.
  • One or more years of experience with EPICOR enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
