This role is part of our Hypersonics and Strategic Missile Defense business, which designs, develops, and delivers highly dependable missile systems for hypersonic and strategic missile defense missions. We provide integrated, mission-ready hardware that brings together multiple technologies into unified systems engineered to perform in demanding operational environments. Our tip-to-tail capabilities include payload protection and deployment systems, propulsion systems, aerodynamic interstage systems, separation systems, missile subsystems, shroud systems, launch systems, and payload integration solutions.
The Receiving Inspector helps ensure incoming materials meet required specifications and support high-quality production. Working closely with quality engineering, receiving operations, and technical teams, this role verifies product condition and documentation, contributes to inspection and test activities, and provides support in maintaining technical accuracy throughout the receiving and in‑process quality workflow.
Responsibilities
- Performs receiving inspection on incoming hardware.
- Verifies hardware conformance to drawings, schematics, and technical requirements.
- Confirms documentation completeness and accuracy for incoming materials.
- Assists Quality Assurance in preparing Product Technical Data Packages (TDP).
- Supports Quality Assurance with in‑process inspections and product testing.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience using basic measuring instruments and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, and technical diagrams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- One or more years of experience in a quality assurance role or technical field.
- Experience operating mill or lathe machines, press brakes, or other manufacturing equipment.
- Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality standards.
A current U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
