Retail Sales Specialist

Customer Service & Store Operations

Mukilteo, WA

We are hiring a Retail Sales Specialist to support customer service, retail sales, inventory management, and store operations in a fast-paced retail environment. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer experiences, processing point-of-sale transactions, managing merchandise inventory, supporting visual merchandising standards, and ensuring efficient day-to-day store operations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service and create a positive shopping experience for employees, visitors, and stakeholders.
  • Process sales transactions, returns, exchanges, and special orders using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Open and close the store in accordance with established operating procedures.
  • Receive, process, and organize inbound and outbound merchandise shipments.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, stock levels, and merchandise availability.
  • Process merchandise transfers, markdowns, Mark Out of Stock (MOS), and Return to Vendor (RTV) transactions.
  • Prepare and complete inventory documentation and support annual inventory counts.
  • Execute merchandising floor sets and maintain visual merchandising standards.
  • Organize and maintain stockroom inventory and storage areas.
  • Prepare and process customer merchandise orders and special requests.
  • Coordinate store maintenance needs and report facility-related issues.
  • Respond to customer and stakeholder inquiries via email and other communication channels.
  • Identify, report, and support resolution of safety and housekeeping concerns.
  • Restock merchandise and maintain overall store cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Escalate customer concerns and complaints to store management as appropriate.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, vocational training, Associate degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1+ year of retail sales, customer service, or related experience.
  • Experience operating point-of-sale (POS) systems and handling cash transactions.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, stock replenishment, merchandise receiving, and retail operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and represent the brand positively.
  • Ability to work onsite and perform retail store operational duties as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of retail sales, customer service, or related retail experience.
  • Experience supporting inventory counts, merchandising resets, and stockroom operations.
  • Experience processing merchandise transfers, markdowns, MOS, and RTV transactions.
  • Experience supporting retail sales goals and performance objectives.
