Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic outpatient orthopedic team in Vineland, NJ. This is a full-time position ideal for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys collaborative teamwork, and has strong clinical skills—especially in the treatment of upper extremity conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat patients with a variety of orthopedic upper extremity injuries, including hand and wrist injuries, post-operative cases, and chronic conditions.
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, functional goals, and best clinical practices.
- Fabricate custom splints as needed for post-operative or injury-related conditions.
- Collaborate closely with physical therapy staff, referring physicians, and surgeons to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, post-operative care, and injury prevention.
- Maintain clear and timely documentation in accordance with clinic and insurance guidelines.
- Work with patients across all age groups, tailoring therapy approaches accordingly.
- Contribute positively to a team-oriented culture, participating in staff meetings, case reviews, and shared clinical learning.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) in the state of New Jersey.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient orthopedic or similar setting preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in hand therapy and splint fabrication.
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work well in a collaborative, team-based environment.
- Dependable, organized, and committed to providing high-quality patient care.
- Spanish-speaking skills are a plus, but not required.
