Retail Pharmacy Technician - Retail Pharmacy Mullica Hill - PD

MAJOR FUNCTION: 

Performs the manual technical tasks involved with the proper storage, distribution, packaging and labeling of drugs, obtaining patient’s clinical and prescription plan coverage information, review of new and/or refill prescription, associated record keeping and patient charging systems. Works under the direct supervision and control of a Registered Pharmacist. Follows proper procedures for the operation of equipment and use of supplies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Retail Pharmacy technician experience preferred.                     

Certification/Licensure:    

• Valid NJ Driver’s license required.
• NJ Division of Consumer Affairs Pharmacy Technician Licensure required within 6 months of employment in this position. 
• National Certifications for Pharmacy Technicians CPHT from the following agencies: PTCB, NHA, ASHP/ACPE preferred. 
• NJ Division of Consumer Affairs Certified Immunization Pharmacy Technician preferred

Physical Requirements:     

• Ability to sit, stand, walk lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
