Property Field Claims Adjuster

You will work in the field and report to the Property Claims Manager and handle homeowner property field claims typically within the Greenfield metro area. You ideally will be located near Greenfield, but we will also consider candidates near Muncie or Shelbyville, IN. A company fleet vehicle is provided with the position and there's an option to use the vehicle for personal use. In this primarily field-based role, you will spend 80% of your time (4+ days per week) working in the field, directly interacting with customers. On occasion you may be asked to travel to an office location for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, trainings, and culture events. Primary Accountabilities include investigating origin and cause of claims by contacting appropriate parties, handling both 1st party and 3rd party claims under multiple policy types, conducting on-site inspections, evaluating damages, handling claim negotiations, responding to customer inquiries, interpreting policies and contracts, and providing claim process updates. Specialized knowledge includes experience with customer-driven solutions, handling multi-line claims, knowledge of casualty coverages, and claim handling processes. Licenses required include a valid driver's license and state-specific property casualty claims licensing. Travel requirements are up to 50%, with catastrophe duty up to 75%. Physical requirements include climbing ladders, moving in confined spaces, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Additional preferred qualifications include familiarity with Xactimate.
