About the Role:
The Weld Robot Operator plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by programming, operating, and maintaining automated welding robots to produce high-quality welded components. This position ensures that welding operations are performed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with engineering specifications and quality standards. The operator will monitor robotic systems, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance and minimize downtime. Collaboration with engineering and quality assurance teams is essential to continuously improve welding processes and meet production goals. Ultimately, the Weld Robot Operator contributes to the seamless integration of automation in welding tasks, enhancing productivity and product consistency within the manufacturing environment.
2nd shift will receive a 10% shift differential rate.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating automated welding equipment or robots in a manufacturing setting.
- Basic understanding of welding processes and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in robotic welding or related automation technology.
- Experience with programming welding robots such as FANUC, ABB, or KUKA.
- Familiarity with welding inspection techniques and quality control procedures.
- Knowledge of industrial safety regulations and best practices.
- Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, program, and operate welding robots according to production schedules and specifications.
- Monitor robotic welding processes to ensure consistent quality and adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on welding robots to prevent and resolve operational issues.
- Collaborate with engineers and quality control personnel to optimize welding parameters and improve product quality.
- Document production data, maintenance activities, and any deviations or incidents during the welding process.

The Weld Robot Operator utilizes technical skills daily to program and adjust robotic welding equipment, ensuring precise and consistent welds.
