Job Summary:
Treat patients who have been evaluated by a Physical Therapist in any of the following settings: Acute Care, Outpatient and any contract site in which provides service. The Assistant's work shall not include the interpretation and implementation of referrals, the performance of evaluations, or the determination of major modifications of treatment programs. Provides all patient care services in accordance with North Carolina law and policies and directives of the Medical staff.

The employee must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes. Them employee must participate in team meetings and discharge planning. They must comply with the standards as set down by the American Physical Therapy Association regarding treatment procedures and professional ethics. The employee must comply with standards described in the departmental policies and procedures.
