What You’ll Do 

 

As a Staff Accountant, you’ll be responsible for general accounting duties in a high-volume environment.  You’ll also provide accounting services to the Operations and Corporate Support teams which require customer service focus and strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.  

  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

 

  • Review weekly food cost and inventory for multiple concepts. 
  • Research and solve problems and discrepancies for inventory. 
  • Manage and maintain recipes for multiple concepts for theoretical comparisons. 
  • Assist in management of construction and remodel project cost tracking. 
  • Assist in asset setup, disposal and transfers. 
  • Prepare and record journal entries and vendor bills in NetSuite. 
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts. 
  • Store level P&L review and analysis. 
  • Learn inventory and back office systems. 
  • Create and maintain advanced spreadsheets. 
  • Provide assistance with the Support Center and the Operations teams. 
  • Back up other team members in their area of responsibility. 
  • Complete other projects and special assignments as requested. 

 

  

What We’re Looking For 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. 
  • 1-2 years accounting experience, preferably in a high transaction volume environment. 
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting, including the chart of accounts, debits and credits, preparing journal entries, and account reconciliations. 
  • Previous experience with inventory, general ledger systems, NetSuite a plus. 
  • Ability to follow through on details and complete tasks with a minimal amount of direct supervision. 
  • Ability to solve problems and present resolutions. 
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. 
  • Very organized with attention to detail. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
