Hourly rates between $28-$32 per hour depending on scheduled shift and location- make more than you would as a traditional mileage pay in less time!
Overtime pay starting at 40 hours worked per week (typical work weeks can offer regular OT opportunities)
Per Diem and cell phone stipend paid in addition to hourly rates
Home every weekend and 10+ holidays!
POSITION SUMMARY:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Transport Materials from vendors to company warehouses or directly to customers
Handle and inspect hazardous materials, manage records, and respond to spills or incidents following emergency action plans
Interpret customer orders, shipping papers, or purchase orders to schedule and execute deliveries or pickups
Pick up products, verify accuracy, and deliver to the appropriate location; collect payments for deliveries and services
Keep detailed truck logs in compliance with state and federal regulations
Efficiently load and unload goods, securing cargo for safe transit and returning empty containers as needed
Inspect and maintain truck equipment and supplies. Conduct emergency roadside repairs, replacing light bulbs and installing tire chains
Use load bars, straps, dunnage to secure items during transportation
​When not driving, additional responsibilities may include:
Generate, handle, and/or inspect hazardous waste and hazardous waste storage
Respond or manage hazardous waste spills and incidents based on the site’s emergency action or contingency plan
Prepare and manage hazardous waste records such as manifests, inspection logs, waste determination and other reports
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
2+ years of experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Good standing with the Clearing House and clean MVR
Commercial license (Class A)
Hazardous Materials and Tank Endorsement required
Preferred
Forklift Operation experience preferred
