Residential Service Technician

Signature Garage Doors is hiring a motivated, dependable, and coachable Residential Service Technician.

We are a five-star company looking for a five-star team member who takes pride in their work, communicates well with customers, and is eager to grow.

This is a hands-on field position focused primarily on servicing, repairing, and installing residential garage doors and garage door operators. The technician will also inspect equipment, identify customer needs, prepare estimates, and clearly explain repair and replacement options.

Mechanical ability and confidence working with tools
The ability to work independently while supporting the team
A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
The ability to pass a background check

Previous experience in garage doors, construction, maintenance, HVAC, electrical work, automotive repair, or another skilled trade is helpful but not required. Sales or in-home service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair residential garage doors and operators
Install garage doors, operators, and related equipment
Perform safety inspections and preventive maintenance
Create accurate estimates and present customers with appropriate options
Communicate professionally with customers and office personnel
Document job information accurately
Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicles
Follow company safety procedures and installation standards

Signature Garage Doors also installs and services commercial overhead doors, electric gate operators, and loading dock equipment, providing opportunities to learn additional skills and advance within the company.

Compensation

First-year earning potential: $50,000–$60,000, depending on experience, performance, productivity, and effort.

Schedule

Field personnel generally work Monday through Friday, with shifts falling between 6:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

The position may require several hours of overtime during busy periods. We make every effort to keep weekends free, but occasional weekend work may be required to serve our customers.
