The Medical Surgical Department at North Alabama Shoals Hospital offers RNs a supportive, patient-focused environment where teamwork and high-quality care are at the center of everything they do. AĀ Registered Nurse (RN)Ā who excels in this role:  

You’ll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator. You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.

  • Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.Ā 
  • Documents patient care provided. PerformsĀ timelyĀ andĀ appropriate documentationĀ relating to medical necessity in the medical recordĀ 
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family. PerformsĀ timelyĀ andĀ accurateĀ QI assessmentsĀ Ā

What we’re looking for  
Ā 

  • Associate’s degree in nursingĀ required;Ā bachelor’s degree in nursingĀ preferredĀ 
  • BCLSĀ required  
  • ACLS, PALS, and Handle with CareĀ preferred;Ā must be obtained withinĀ 30 daysĀ of employment.Ā
